Obituary of Kathleen M. Rogers

Kathleen M. Rogers August 24, 1954-April 22, 2019 Kathy passed away at her home on Staten Island on Aril 22nd, 2019. She is survived by her daughter, Amanda Fonshill and her husband, Bryan; grandchildren Autumn and Wyatt of Falls Church, VA; her brothers, Martin Galamb and his wife, Evelyn of Waltham, MA, Thomas Galamb and his wife, Fanny of Staten Island, NY and Ed Galamb and his wife, Andrea of Hephzibah, GA; and nephews Chris, Kevin, Khalil, and Philip. Kathy was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She was a fiercely independent woman; she danced to her own drum and lived life on her terms. Kathy was the type of person to go without to help those she loved. Kathy loved animals and would often be known to feed strays and other wild visitors that came to her home and at work. She especially loved cats. Kathy had a kind soul and never let her hardships break her giving spirit. Kathy will be missed greatly by all of those that had the privilege to know and love her. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the North Shore Animal League https://www.animalleague.org/, if so desired. Memorial visitation will be held at the Matthew Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 2508 Victory Boulevard, on Friday, May 17, from 11:00 to 11:30 am, with a religious service at the funeral home at 11:30 am.
