Obituary of Angelo F. Ricci
Angelo Ricci, 52, of New Springville, was a Japanese Jujutsu instructor, and a Fiber Optic engineer in Telecommunications, as well as an independent caterer. Angelo was a beloved father, son, brother, and husband. Born and raised in Bensonhurst, he and his family moved to Staten Island in 1981. In 1998, he became a father to his first and only son, Sebastiano. Angelo always followed his passion for martial arts, opening Yama Arashi Dojo in 2005. Angelo was nicknamed "Japangelo" because of his love and appreciation for Japanese food and culture. In his spare time Angelo loved fishing, cooking with friends, and making people laugh with his witty sense of humor. In May of 2019 he became the husband of Mary Boatemaa. In addition to Mary, surviving is his son Sebastiano, his parents Grace and Frank, his sister Rosalie, his brothers Sebastian and Frank, and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Service will be held on Saturday, June 1st from 12pm-5pm at Matthew Funeral Home, 2508 Victory Boulevard, Staten Island, NY 10314.
