Obituary of Mokhash Teekasingh

Mokhash Teekasingh, 57, died Saturday, June 29, 2019 at his home. Mokhash was the beloved husband of 34 years to Sharon Teekasingh; loving father of Craig and his wife Mailyn, Carissa and Cherese Teekasingh; cherished grandfather of Juliette Teekasingh; dear son of Shirley and the late Ram Teekasingh; loving son-in-law of Hamida Abdool; dear brother of Rainer Teekasingh and Susan Teekasingh-Dulan; also survived by his many in-laws, aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, cousins, and many, many close friends.

 

Born and raised in Princes Town, Trinidad and Tobago, W.I. He migrated to the US in 1999 where he resided in Staten Island, NY.

 

Mokhash had a passion for cooking, gardening, dancing, listening to his Indian music and most of all the love for his family. He was known for his infectious smile, his sense of humor, his generosity, and his kind and compassionate spirit. Most importantly he loved spending time with his family and friends and attending their events and activities. Mokhash was treasured and will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

 

Viewing will be held at the Matthew Funeral Home, Inc., 2508 Victory Boulevard, on Friday, July 5th, from 2:00pm to 4:00pm and 6:00pm to 9:00pm. Funeral service at the funeral home on Saturday, July 6th, at 10:00am, with the committal service to follow in Rosehill Crematory, Linden, NJ.
