Obituary of Antoinette P. DeGregorio

Antoinette P. DeGregorio (nee Vaiano), 91, of Mariner's Harbor, passed away peacefully at her home, on July 1, 2019. She was the beloved wife of the late Rosario; loving mother of Sandra Farley, and Paul DeGregorio and his wife, Doreen; cherished grandmother of Chad Farley and his wife, Peggy, Corey Farley, Paul DeGregorio, Deena DeGregorio, and Doreen DeGregorio, and the late Cherilyn Farley; devoted great-grandmother of Nicholas, Justin, Colleen, Victoria, Cassidy, and Samantha; dear sister of Susan Toia and her husband, Frank, and Lucia Dellatorri. She was predeceased by ten siblings. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Mrs. DeGregorio was born in New York in 1928, and was brought to Staten Island as a young child. In her younger years she was employed as a Seamstress and later stayed home to raise her family. Some of her hobbies included doing word searches and playing scratch-off tickets. Antoinette was an excellent cook, specializing in eggplant parmigiana, homemade manicotti, and pizza. She loved to entertain her friends and family around the holidays, especially at Christmas. Funeral Service at the Matthew Funeral Home, Inc., on Friday at 10 am. Interment to follow in St. Peter's Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to visit on Wednesday from 5:00 to 9:00, and Thursday from 4:00 to 8:00 pm.
