Obituary of David F. Rahn

David F. Rahn, 54, of Westerleigh, passed away suddenly on July 7, 2019.  He was the beloved husband of Anne Urban-Rahn; loving father of Heather; dear son of Phyllis and the late Andrew Rahn;  dear brother of Linda Smith (Bruce), and Andrew Rahn; fond brother-in-law of Carol Dunn (Todd); devoted uncle of Christina Rahn, Jennifer Stevenson (Davis), Megan and Hunter Dunn.

Mr. Rahn was born on Staten Island in 1965, raised in Oakwood, was graduated from Susan Wagner High School, and earned his Bachelor’s Degree from St. John’s University, and a Master’s Degree from NYU.  He worked as a Medical Editor, most recently for MRM McCann.  David enjoyed playing his guitar, collecting records, gardening, and was a gourmet cook, especially Indian cuisine.

In lieu of Flowers, the family would appreciate donations to the St. Jude’s Children Research Hospital.

Funeral from the Matthew Funeral home on Friday, departing at 9 am.  Funeral  Mass will be celebrated at Trinity Lutheran Church at 10 am (309 St.  Paul’s  Avenue, Staten Island, NY 10304).  Interment  to follow in Moravian Cemetery.  Family and friends are invited to visit on Thursday from 2:00 to 5:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 pm.
