Obituary of Pauline Chong

Pauline Chong (nee Ngui), 89, passed away peacefully on August 7, 2019. She was the wife of the late Alphonsus; loving mother of Patricia Manzini (Piero), Richard Chong (Helen), Robert Chong (Nanette), Catherine Giordano (Anthony), Barbara Lim (Lim Heng Tin), and the late Alexander Chong; cherished grandmother of 12; devoted great-grandmother of 9; dear sister of the late Joseph Ngui. Mrs. Chong was born and raised in Malaysia, and emigrated to the United States in 1989, settling in Meiers Corner, Staten Island. Pauline worked as a clerk in Brunei, Darussalam. Some of Pauline's hobbies included playing cards and Mah Jong, and cooking. Most of all she enjoyed her time spent with her family. Funeral from the Matthew Funeral Home, Inc., 2508 Victory Boulevard, on Friday, departing at 9:45 am. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Rita's R.C. Church at 10:30 am. Committal service to follow in Rosehill Crematory, Linden, NJ. Family and friends are invited to visit on Thursday from 6:00 to 9:00 pm.
