Obituary of Sarah Ferrari

Sarah Ferrari (nee Vaccarella), 93, of Westerleigh, passed away peacefully on August 11, 2019. She was the beloved wife of the late Virgenino "Vinny", loving mother of Louis Ferrari and his wife, Jennifer, the late Michael, and the late Carmine Ferrari; cherished grandmother of Danielle Leone and her husband, Gianfranco, and Michael Ferrari and his wife, Yolanda; devoted great-grandmother of Genevieve and Francesca. She was predeceased by her two sisters. Sarah was born in Manhattan in 1925, raised in Brooklyn, and relocated to Staten Island approximately 40 years ago. She was employed as a factory worker in the cosmetics industry for a number of years. Sarah enjoyed shopping and was an excellent cook. Most importantly she enjoyed time spent with her family. Funeral from the Matthew Funeral Home, Inc., 2508 Victory Boulevard, on Wednesday, departing at 9:30 am. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Holy Family R.C. Church at 10 am. Entombment to follow in Resurrection Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to visit on Tuesday, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm.
