Obituary of Margaret L. Roche

Margaret L. Roche (nee Beierlein), age 90, passed away on September 11, 2019. She was the beloved wife of the late Edward X. Roche. She was the dear companion of Bill Ansaldi for over 25 years. She was the loving mother of Edward X. Roche Jr. and his wife Christine and Noel Roche and his wife Madeline. She was the cherished grandmother of 5 and great grandmother of 7. She was the beloved sister of the late Louis and Doris Beierlein. Margaret was born and raised in Staten Island. She attended and graduated from Curtis High School in 1947. Soon after, she met and fell in love with her husband Edward. They were married in 1948 and were blessed with two wonderful children. Despite losing her hearing at a young age she continued to work and help provide for her family. Margaret retired from NYNEX after 33 years in 1988. After retiring she moved upstate to the Adirondaks where she enjoyed riding her snow mobile, cross country skiing and the natural beauty all around her. Every May she made it a point to take her yearly trip to Aruba, sometimes with her sister, Doris and other times with her companion, Bill. Margaret loved to knit, crochet and collect pocketbooks but most of all she loved her home in the Adirondaks that has been a part of many wonderful memories shared with family and friends. Funeral from the Matthew Funeral Home Inc., 2508 Victory Blvd. On Tuesday, 9/17/19, funeral service will be held in the funeral home at 11:30 AM. Interment will follow at St. Peter's Cemetery.
