Obituary of David G. LeBoss

Mr. David G. LeBoss, 75, of Bulls Head, Staten Island, passed away suddenly on September 13, 2019, at his home. He was the beloved husband of the late Anita LeBoss for 35 years; loving father of Gabrielle Saverino and her husband, Patrick, and Gillien Brooks and her husband, Marc; cherished grandfather of Sophia and Mason Brooks; dear brother of the late Stanley LeBoss; and a doting grand "pup" father to Giorgio. David was born in Brooklyn in 1943 and raised in the Gravesend neighborhood. For many years he was employed as a UPS Truck Driver before becoming a Union Delegate with the International Brotherhood of Teamsters, local 804. Some of his hobbies included collecting knives, cooking delicious food, listening to country music, and collecting cowboy statues . David was a sharp dresser who had a tremendous watch collection. His family called him "Dapper Dave." Most importantly he enjoyed his time spent with his daughters, son-in-laws, grandchildren and grandpup (who called him "Poppy"). He was his most happiest when he was with the seven of them. Funeral from the Matthew Funeral Home, Inc., 2508 Victory Boulevard, on Wednesday, departing at time 9:00 AM. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of Pity R.C. Church, at 9:30 AM. Family and friends will be received on Tuesday from 2:00 to 4:30 and 7:00 to 9:30 pm.
