Obituary of Edward McCabe

Edward McCabe, age 83, passed away on September 11, 2019. He was the beloved father of Edward McCabe Jr., Kathy Tringali and her husband Joe, Laurie Giovansanti and her husband Skip and Donald McCabe and his wife Katrina. He was the devoted grandfather of 10. He was the dear great grandfather of 8. He was blessed with many devoted friends that he held close to his heart. He is also survived by his long time companion, Miriam Clarke. Edward was born in the Bronx, NY. He later moved to Staten Island where he raised his family and lived until his passing. Edward worked for the NYC Department of Sanitation for approximately 30 years. He enjoyed boating and was a proud member of the Mariner's Harbor Yacht Club. In his spare time he enjoyed traveling and his trips to Atlantic City. Edward will be remembered as an outgoing guy who was the "life of the party" who could always bring a smile to someone's face. He was a prankster at heart, who made sure that everyone around him was having a good time. Funeral from the Matthew Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., 2508 Victory Blvd. Memorial Service will be held in the funeral home on Saturday, 10/19/19 at 1:30 PM. Family and friends may visit on Saturday, 10/19/19, from 1:00 to 3:00 PM.
