Obituary of Charlene Edwards-Gray

Mrs. Charlene Edwards-Gray, 43, of Mariner's Harbor, passed away on September 15, 2019. She was the beloved wife of William Gray for 17 years; loving daughter of Carolyn Marvelli and the late John C. Edwards; caring step-daughter of Lorraine Cappiello-Edwards; dear sister of Colleen Bonomo and her husband, Frank; devoted aunt of Danielle, Michael and Devin. Charlene was born in Brooklyn in 1976, raised in Windsor Terrace and graduated from Bishop Ford High School. She then furthered her education at LaGuaradia Community College in Queens. For 26 years she was employed by Kings Pharmacy in Brooklyn, starting as a cashier and moving up to District Pharmacy Manager. Charlene had an infectious smile and laugh, whom loved people and never fought with anyone. She lit up a room when she entered. Charlene enjoyed music, video games and family movie/television night. Funeral from the Matthew Funeral Home, Inc., 2508 Victory Boulevard, on Friday, departing at 9 am. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of Pity R.C. Church at 9:30 am. Interment to follow in Resurrection Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to visit on Thursday from 2:00 to 5:00 and 7:00 to 10:00 pm.
