Obituary of Harry "Scottie" F. Jenkins

Harry "Scottie" Jenkins, 88, of Huguenot, passed away suddenly on October 11, 2019. He was the beloved son of the late Harry and late Dolores Kloiber; loving brother of Dolores Paul, Nancy Kramer, Joseph Kloiber and John Kloiber. He was also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great nephews, and many friends. Scottie was born on Staten Island in 1931, and attended Curtis High School. During the Korean War, he served in Guam, with the United States Marine Corps. He was employed for many years as a Long Shoreman, with the I.L.A. Scottie enjoyed travelling around the world, visiting places such as Australia, Alaska, and Africa, and enjoyed bird watching and taking photos in those exotic locales. Additionally, he enjoyed frequent trips to Atlantic City. According to his family, Scottie had a great sense of humor and colorful personality! Visitation at the Matthew Funeral Home, Inc., 2508 Victory Boulevard, on Thursday, 10/17, from 5:00 to 8:00 pm. Funeral service is scheduled for 10 am at the funeral home, followed by interment in Moravian Cemetery.
