Obituary of Michael La Duca

Michael La Duca, 50, of New Springville, passed away peacefully on October 17, 2019. He was the beloved son of Joseph and Marie La Duca; dear brother of Lisa Di Vilio and her husband, Nick; and the late Joseph La Duca, and his wife, Lori; devoted uncle of Nicholas, Matthew, Michael, Anthony and Nicole. Michael was born in Brooklyn, moved to Staten Island as a young child, and graduated from Tottenville High School. For many years he was employed as a Butcher for various supermarkets, but especially, Waldbaums. Some of his hobbies included building model cars, cooking (especially his sausage and peppers), painting, riding his bike, and tinkering with cars. Most importantly, he enjoyed his time spent with family, especially his niece and nephews. Funeral from the Matthew Funeral Home, Inc., 2508 Victory Boulevard, on Tuesday, departing at 10:30 am. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:30 am at St. Thomas the Apostle R.C. Church. Private cremation will follow. Family and friends will be received on Monday from 2:00 to 5:00 and 7:00 to 10:00 pm.
