Obituary of Anthony J. Noe

Anthony J. Noe, 94, of Toms River, formerly of Bulls Head, passed away peacefully at his home on November 17, 2019. He was the beloved husband of Jennie (nee Santomarco) for 69 years; loving father of John Noe and his wife Gail, and Anthony Noe, Jr.; cherished grandfather of Vincent and Teresa Noe; loving brother of Joseph Noe and his late wife Agnes; and the late Guy Noe and his late wife Julia. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Mr. Noe was born in Detroit, Michigan in 1925, raised in Red Hook, Brooklyn, and graduated from High School in Brooklyn. He proudly served during World War II, in the Navy aboard the Minesweeper U.S.S. Broadbill, and was actively involved in the Invasion of Normandy. For approximately thirty years he worked for NYRA at Aqueduct, Belmont and Saratoga. Some of his hobbies included playing the Mandolin in his younger years, rooting for the NY Yankees and Giants, bowling, and occasionally golfing. He also enjoyed trips to Atlantic City. Anthony was involved with community activities with the VFW. Funeral from the Matthew Funeral Home, Inc., 2508 Victory Boulevard, on Thursday, departing at 9:30 am. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Holy Family R.C. Church at 10 am. Interment to follow in Moravian Cemetery. Family and friends may visit on Wednesday from 2:00 to 5:00 and 7:00 to 10:00 pm.
