How do you say goodbye to a person that has been a constant for your entire life.
Both Uncle Vito and my Aunt Ann, were my ideal, they doled out love, humor, caring and kindness, generously. She was the hard candy shell to his soft chewy center.
They gave me my touchstone, my cousin, my Ginger. Our lives have not been easy, that is for sure. We have a lifetime of memories to remember and share and hopefully more to come.
How do you say goodbye.... maybe you shouldn't
Maybe it's just so long for now, will miss you... so happy you're all together in heaven.
So happy for being part of your family.
Love you always.

I loved my father more than life itself...an honest, caring, intelligent man who always greeted you with a smile and made you feel welcome. He was always at my side binging me places when I was a child, always made my hockey games and practices...everyone talked very highly about him no matter what he did, and whose life he touched...I am a loss...I wish I was half the man he was...love you dad, rest easy....

OUR DAD
Today we say goodbye to our dad. This world has lost a beautiful soul. Our dad was a great father, husband and grandfather. It’s hard to just talk about dad without talking about my beautiful mom too. There’s was a marriage made in Heaven. They met through a blind date by my mother’s Aunt Betty. God Bless her.
The day they got married was a disaster. As the story goes, it rained cats and dogs, two grandmothers slipped on the wet church steps, there was a fight at the wedding, someone got stabbed, their train to Canada derailed and to top it all off, their house was robbed on their wedding day. But even after all that, they were blessed with a wonderful, long marriage.
They were Always together, always laughing at each other’s jokes. They got along so well. Of course there were arguments but they were few and far between.
We were given a wonderful childhood. Although dad worked round the clock, he always found time to spend with us kids. He took us and our friends to Prospect Park very often. We went fishing, mountain climbing, rowing, sledding and roller skating there. When we got back from the park dad was always in trouble. Mom would yell at him for someone getting ripped clothes or getting hurt. Dad would walk in and would yell out Ann, we had two casualties today. So many fun times.
And as a grandfather, dad was the best. He took my kids all over NYC. They couldn’t wait to ride the train. They saw a lot more of the city than I ever have.
Dad worked in Corrections. Mom would say, even the prisoners love your father.
I don’t think he ever had an enemy in his whole life.
To know him was to love him♥️.
I don’t remember either one of them buying cards for each other on special occasions but I would see little notes they gave each other expressing their love and happiness with each other.
He was always a very religious man. He went to mass every Sunday and so did we. He even went during the week at times.
It wasn’t all perfect. Our family had their tragedies. We lost our beautiful DIANE at age 28, leaving a newborn baby boy and two young beautiful daughters. They’re all grown now with great jobs and beautiful kids. DIANE would be so very proud.
And then we lost our beautiful son Nicky, their first grandchild.
We were blessed to have our parents with us for so long. We thank God for that everyday.
I want to thank my husband Nick for standing by me especially for the last six years. You were my rock. I wouldn’t have been able to do all we did for mom and dad without you. You were the VERY BEST son in law to mom and dad. I love you♥️
Dad always said, I had a beautiful life Ginger, and I thank God for that everyday.
THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING DAD. YOU WERE THE VERY BEST. WE WILL LOVE AND MISS YOU FOREVER. You’re finally with your bride.
God bless you and mom. May he hold you both in HIS loving arms.
