Obituary of Patricia E. Lorenzo

Patricia E. Lorenzo (nee Sheehan), age 77, passed away on December 6, 2019. She was the devoted daughter of the late Richard and Johanna Sheehan. She was the beloved wife of the late Carmine T. Lorenzo. She was the loving mother of Thomas Lorenzo, Daniel Lorenzo and his wife Shari and Jeanne Foote and her husband Don. She was the cherished Nana of Tyler Foote, Nicholas Lorenzo and Sydni Gapczynski. She was the dear sister of S uzanne Lanahan and her husband Daniel. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins. Patricia was born in Cleveland, Ohio. Soon after, her family relocated to Brooklyn, NY. Patricia attended and graduated from St. Savior High School. While in High School she worked as a doctor's assistant for a pediatrician. This experience inspired Patricia to get her Nursing degree from Kings County Nursing School. Her nursing career spanned over 45 years. Patricia enjoyed life to the fullest. She loved travelling, camping, hiking and was well known for her baking. She was a proud member of the Grandmother's Club which supported many various charities. Patricia will be remembered as a strong, independent and family oriented woman who was a terrific role model that her children proudly looked up to. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations be made to the American Stroke Association in Patricia's memory. Funeral from the Matthew Funeral Home, Inc., 2508 Victory Boulevard, on Saturday, 12/21/19, departing at 9:15 AM. Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Rita's R.C. Church at 10:00 AM. Interment to follow in Resurrection Cemetery. Family and friends may visit on Friday, 12/20/19, from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM.
