Obituary of Helen Julia Tszuska

Helen Julia Tszuska (nee Mojecki), 90, of Westerleigh, passed away peacefully on December 22, 2019, at Staten Island University Hospital North. She was the beloved wife of Joseph Tszuska for over 70 years; loving mother of Ronald Tszuska and his wife, Luann, and Jody Sutherland and her husband, Roland; cherished grandmother of Julianne Baczek and her husband Mark, Jenna Tszuska and her fiancé Lester Wrobel, Carly Sutherland; dear sister of Marie Conlon and her late husband, John. She was also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Mrs. Tszuska was born on Staten Island in 1929, raised in Elm Park, and graduated from Port Richmond High School. Helen met her future husband Joseph in 1948 and married him shortly thereafter. Helen was an excellent cook who enjoyed baking and crocheting. One of Helen's special memories was her trip to Hawaii with her husband Joseph. She loved children. Her happiest times were spent with her grandchildren at the beach. Funeral from the Matthew Funeral Home, Inc., 2508 Victory Boulevard, on Friday, departing at 9:30 am. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Holy Family R.C. Church, at 10 am. Interment to follow in St. Peter's Cemetery. Family and friends may visit on Thursday, from 2:00 to 5:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 pm.
