Obituary of Danilo G. Olivares

Danilo G. Olivares, of Parkhill, passed away peacefully on February 13, 2020. He was the beloved husband of the late Merlita; loving father of Daniel Olivares and his wife Mherwyn; cherished grandfather of J.D. and Jasmine Olivares; dear brother of Olivia Lopez and her husband Jose Mari, Muriel Bartosis and her husband Romeo, Romeo Olivares and his wife Louie, Vangie Olivares, and the late Napoleon Olivares; fond brother in law of Gloria Olivares. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Mr. Olivares was born in Binan, Laguna, Philippines, in 1948. Danilo served in the military in the Philippines for many years. He emigrated to the United States in 1993. For many years he was employed at the Hilton Hotel in New York City as a Security Officer. Danilo enjoyed playing lotto and listening to music while taking long road trips. He also enjoyed singing "My Way" at karaoke. Danilo also enjoyed shopping and was very into fashion. Funeral from the Matthew Funeral Home, Inc., 2508 Victory Boulevard, on Tuesday, departing at 9:15 am. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Sylvester's R.C. Church at 10:00 am. Interment to follow in Resurrection Cemetery. Family and friends may visit on Sunday and Monday from 2:00 to 5:00 and 7:00 to 10:00 pm.
