She is predeceased by her husband of 63 years, Roy Johnsen, and her brother, Harry Grose. She is survived by her daughter Christine Cognetta and her husband Carmen, granddaughter Catherine Cognetta-Sindet and her husband Justin, and her great granddaughters, Emma and Zoe. After the birth of her daughter, she became a full time homemaker. While on Staten Island, she was very involved with Eltingville Lutheran Church. She also served as a guide at historic Richmondtown. Alice and her husband retired 45 years ago and enjoyed a vibrant and active retirement. They lived in North Carolina, Texas, and Pennsylvania, finally settling in Florida. They traveled throughout the entire country and world, mostly in their Airstream motor home, visiting such places as Europe, Scandinavia, the Caribbean, and South Africa. Alice enjoyed golfing, square dancing, playing bridge, and attending church services and bible studies. Funeral from Matthew Funeral Home, Inc. 2508 Victory Blvd., on Monday departing at 9:45AM.
