Obituary of Phyllis Garzi

Love for life and Laughter Phyllis Castelli Garzi, 76, or Port Richmond, passed away on March 5, 2020. She was the beloved wife of the late Alfred Garzi, Loving daughter of the late Peter Castelli and Raffiella Lordo Castelli. She was a beloved sister of Carol Castelli Garzi and Linda Castelli, and the late Marie Castelli Neville. She was the beloved aunt and great aunt to many nieces and nephews. Ms. Garzi was born and raised in Rosebank, on St. Mary's Avenue Staten Island NY. She Graduated from New Dorp School and worked in Manhattan for many years before obtaining her Real Estate Brokers Licenses working for Able real estate and then Realty-Pros up until she passed. She also co owned Altone Limousines with her late husband Alfred Garzi. Phyllis was a warm inviting person, always with a smile on her face and a friendly demeanor. If you knew her you loved her! She was a friend, sister, and mother to all with advice on anything that troubled you. She was most of all the life of the party! Phyllis LOVE life and laughter, enjoying every moment! She loved to dance... She was always the first one on the dance floor, especially when she heard fireball, her theme song. She was truly a fireball full of life! She enjoyed socializing with her friends listening to local bands and was a fan for all of her karaoke singer friends. In her younger years, she was a great hostess for holiday celebrations, a fantastic cook and attended to her friends and families every need. Funeral from the Matthew Funeral Home Inc., 2508 Victory Blvd. on Monday, 3/9/2020, departing at 8:45 AM. Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Roch's R.C. Church at 9:30 AM. Interment will follow in Moravian Cemetery. Family and friends may visit on Sunday, 3/8/2020, from 2:00 to 7:00 PM.
