I became the Fleet Manager at SCI and worked directly with Arti for more than 25 years. I found him to be the most competent fleet Manager I ever knew. When I met with the highest ranking members of NYC fleet administration, they often said Artie was the best fleet manager in the city of New York.
The real Arthur was a man who loved his wife and son,,,,and cars. We often talked about them all. Later we both retired and moved up to Greenwood Lake. We tried to find each other for a couple of years, and met by accident at Emerald Point Restaurant. Artie and I renewed our friendship; he and Anne and would meet me and my wife at Emerald for drinks and food and some great conversations.
I do not why God called Artie to Heaven, but the loss of such person makes me so sad for his family.

So sorry to hear the passing of Artie. I came to know Artie through the DOE and we quickly became friends. We shared a passion for cars. He was always friendly, had a warm smile and always got the job done. My prayers and condolences to his family and friends.

I had the pleasure of knowing Artie through the DOE. He was a gentleman and always a pleasure to deal with. I was born and raised on Staten Island and missed talking about the Island of old after he retired. I also enjoyed talking about the cars we owned throughout the years. Great photo of Artie, that’s how I remember him, always smiling.

We met Art & Ann when they became our neighbors in Greenwood Lake. In old school fashion, we became Fast Friends in the middle of the road the very first time we met.
My husband & I loved having Art & Ann on our Pontoon Boat and going to our local jaunt for pizza & beers. In our Friendship with Art and Ann, our cup runeth over. Our condolences to Ann & Art Jr. And everyone who was blessed to have Art's light shine upon them.
With all our love Rich and Diane Kelly

Art was my brother-in-law for many years. I will always be forever grateful for the relationship we had. One of my most memorable experiences was our day together hiking to the top of the mountain overlooking Greenwood Lake. I will always have admiration and hold Art close to my heart for the rest of my life. Love and peace, Rocco

Words alone will NEVER express the deep heartbreak I feel for the loss of my loving Brother-in-Law Arthur (Art). A truly special husband to my sister Annamay; an amazing father to my nephew Arthur Jr., and a happy and genuine friend to many. Art was extremely BLESSED by God for he had so many gifts of talent (yet so very humbled). We always had fun carrying on, laughing, getting in trouble, dancing, singing, talking about cars, and the list goes on. I will forever HONOR him for the extraordinary person he was; and all that he meant to me through the many years on being my Brother-in-Law. I will miss him very much and will keep practicing my drawing just for him; for as he knew I was truly his Biggest Fan! Rest Peacefully Art..I LOVE YOU! Jilly

Annamay and Art Jr. I am so very sorry for your loss.
Art was a wonderful man who will be greatly missed. He was so kind and loving and we had tons of fun growing up together. They were some of the best years of my life. I'll always remember our times at Panther Lake, playing in woods behind what later became your home, and riding on the back of his yellow motorcycle. Fun times and great memories.
RIP Art.
Your cousin,
Bonnie
