Nana,
When I think of you and your name, there are so many thoughts that can be written about you and how much you have blessed our lives. I am so eternally grateful that you were a part of my life for eighteen, almost nineteen years as my nana and my godmother. Everything about myself reminds me so much of you (I got my blue eyes from you!) and I will forever appreciate all that you have done for me. You and I loved each other unconditionally and you will always be with me until we meet again. I appreciate the relationship that we had since the day I was brought into the world and how special we were together. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for raising me with my faith and for teaching me about Christ and our Holy Family; that is a gift and a blessing I will forever cherish. I can only hope to be as great of a person as you were and always will be with all of the roles you have stepped into and fulfilled. And although a piece of my heart is empty you are in my heart and memory. We did everything and we went everywhere together and that is something I will miss for the rest of my life. I will also miss seeing your beautiful face, hearing your angelical voice, and your warm hugs and kisses. My life will never be the same without you, but when I think about how happy Poppy, Aunt Lizzy, and Aunt Veronica and all of your brothers and sisters must be now that you are together after so long, that is what brings me peace and comfort. May you rest peacefully in heaven with all of the angels. As long as I am living, your memory will forever linger on this earth. I love you. <3

I am really, truly going to miss my wonderful Aunt Betty. But she, being a good, caring, loving mother who faithfully practiced and lived her Catholic Faith, she will soon, if not already, enjoy the unimaginable Peace and Joy of her Eternal Life with Jesus,Mary, and Joseph, and all the Saints and angels in her heavenly home, including her husband Jack and her Daughters Elizabeth and Veronica! My Aunt Betty, only ten years older than me lived right next door at 235 Charles Ave with Nana and Pop and others in her family so I frequently saw, visited and spoke to her.Our houses were so close that about five in the morning she would stick a broom out her bathroom window and knock my house to wake up my father to go to the fruit and vegetable market with Pop. Then for several years after her marriage to my great Uncle Jack lived downstairs in my house. And so we got together often; delightful, much fun.She wanted to renew the woodwork in her new apartment downstairs,so I and several others helped her and Jack sand all it down to the bare wood. She and Uncle Jack took me and my Mother and others to their home at the Sampson Air Force Base in Geneva,New York. Fond and Fun Memories. Soon after my entrance into St.Joseph Seminary Betty and Jack brought my mother to visit me for a full afternoon! GREAT! They took me and mom for a picnic and swim a couple of times in Hackettstown New Jersey! Many more most enjoyable times, including those at the Cleary home on Smith Court and Cheeves Ave. Thank you very, very much Aunt Betty; you may have moved, but I will never forget you and will hopefully be together again! Your nephew,Kenny

Sending my deepest condolences to the entire Cleary family. I had the pleasure of knowing Mrs. Cleary, she was just a kind hearted sweet woman that I always enjoyed being around. May her memory be a blessing and May she Rest In Eternal Peace with the Lord.

I’m going to miss you great-Nan. I wear the shirts and sweaters you gave me every day. I also have yours and great pop pop’s daily bibles along with the rosary beads you got in the mail.
I will miss you with all my heart. I’m making my confirmation this week and I will be thinking about you.
I was blessed to have you in my life. Until we meet again.

It is hard to say goodbye to you. Thank you for giving me the most important thing in the world and that was my faith. As you know, it has gotten me through some rough times in my life.
I’ll miss, but cherish the times we had at the trailer..there was nothing like you Sunday breakfasts with your homemade cornbread. You, daddy, and my family spent every summer vacation together. Those memories will live in my heart forever.
They say time heals all wounds, but you took a piece of my heart with you.
I love you with all my heart mom and will miss you everyday. As promised, I will have those masses said for you.
You are now my guardian angel. There is no more suffering. You are finally at peace.
Fly home with the angels. Pray for those you are leaving behind.
I love you mom. Thanks for giving me the life you did.
Love,
Peggy❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

I requested that they play your favorite song; “Let There be Peace on Earth,” at your funeral mass. I remember it being your request. You always longed for peace.
I am heartbroken, but find peace knowing you are with daddy, Lizzy, and Veronica.
I will miss you like crazy. All those long telephone conversations we had before you became ill.
I’m sure daddy has a smile from ear to ear that his love is home. I can picture you both dancing to Kenny Roger’s “Through The Years.”
Peggy ❤️
