Rosa, Rose-a-la, Rosie... all our endearing names for Rose. I met Rose when I was just a little girl and she's been a part of my life ever since. Her husband Joe and my dad grew up in Sorrento together. When Joe came to the US to marry Rose he wasted no time in introducing her to my family. From that day on Rose, her parents and eventually Michael & Michele all became a part of my family. Rose quickly became a sister from a different mother with my parents... and of course that made her my aunt from a different grandmother!
Rose was there for all the important times in my and my family's life... and of course for all the many, many, many times in-between. She was exuberant, loved life and had a great sense of humor which made our every day times together filled with happiness and love. And boy did she tell the best stories!!! It seems that interesting things just happened to Rose or was it just her gift of recognizing that a moment was interesting?
Rose had such a great relationship with my parents which I always admired... and because a picture is worth a thousand words I've attached one that I feel explains their terrific rapport better than any words that I could try to say.
I'm so fortunate to have had Rose in my life. I'm going to miss her so very much but I'm grateful for all the love she shared and for the wonderful memories I have because of her.
I love you Rosie... and when you get to heaven please give my dad a big hug and kiss for me.

May God rest the soul of my beautiful Godmother.
Aunt Rosie - you have always been there for me throughout my life. We loved each other unconditionally and shared a bond like no other. You were a beautiful, caring person and I am going to miss you terribly. I will forever hold the memories I share growing up so close to Michael and Michelle forever. May you fly with the angels.
