Obituary of Higinio Radilla
Higinio Radilla Chavez, 58, of Staten Island, NY, passed away on March 7, 2022, in Long Island Jewish Medical Center.
Higinio was born in San Jeronimo de Juarez Guerrero, Mexico, to Felipe Radilla Arzeta and Felicitas Chavez Baez on January 11, 1964. He attended Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico. He worked as a Chef for the Unicorn Diner for over 18 years. Most recently he was employed at the Seaview Hospital and Rehabilitation Home as a Kitchen Aid until the time of his death. He enjoyed playing soccer, cooking, and spending valuable time with his two daughters.
Higinio is survived by his two daughters Arianna and Sophia Radilla of Staten Island, NY, his mother Felicitas Chavez Baez of Mexico, three sisters, Graciela, Patricia, Idolina and six brothers, Juan, Manuel, Fernando, Felipe, Israel, and Octavio all of Mexico and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father Felipe Radilla Arzeta.
The family wishes to extend their gratitude to his extended family and friends for their love, support, and prayers. Higinio will be truly missed!
Funeral service will be held at Matthew Funeral Home and Cremation Services on Sunday, March 13, 2022. Visitation will be from 2:00-4:00 pm and 7:00-9:00 pm, with Minister Marcia Tatum will be officiating an 8:00 pm service to celebrate Higinio’s life.
