Obituary of Celia T. Rappa

Celia T. Rappa (nee Grippi), 75, of Staten Island, NY passed away peacefully at Memorial Sloan Kettering on April 28, 2022, surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of Salvatore for 55 years and loving mother of Dominick and her fur-baby Lili. Celia proudly worked for Conde Naste for many years. Upon retiring Celia loved to spend time in their Pocono, PA house. Celia had a warmth and radiance that shone, and her biggest joy was being surrounded by family and friends, or making others happy. Visitation at Matthew Funeral Home, Inc., 2508 Victory Boulevard, on Monday, 5/2 from 2pm-4pm and 6pm-9pm. Mass to be held Tuesday 5/3 at St. Rita's, 281 Bradley Avenue at 10am followed by entombment at St. John Cemetery, 80-01 Metropolitan Avenue, Queens, NY at 12pm. In lieu of flowers the family is asking donations be made to Memorial Sloan Kettering for the wonderful care they took of our beloved Celia.
