Peter and I are far away and can not be there to honor Sue, but we remember her fondly as a respected colleague, a good person, and an educator who touched and influenced countless students through the years. She mattered.

I was so sorry to hear about the passing of Ms. Palmieri. She was our academic advisor at Brooklyn Tech. She was also the speech and debate teacher, the drama coordinator managing Broadway-size musicals, etc., etc. A very stylish woman of many talents and holding her own at one of the largest technology and engineering schools in NYC. We noticed and we appreciated you. Condolences to the family.

Thank you for always believing in me and reminding me to always put my best foot forward. I got to travel to London and Paris because of you, which is a trip I will always remember. We forgive you for letting us roast in the sun as you shopped in the LV store. You lived life worth cherishing and your contributions won't ever be forgotten.
Rest In Peace fashion queen.

Susan I will miss all of our fun times in Florida. I will miss you so much. you are a beautiful soul and I know we will meet again one day in heaven. Words cannot express the loss I feel when I just heard the news. I’m glad I got to talk to you these past few months during your difficult times and horrible illness. I’ve been trying to call you for the past few weeks and I wasn’t able to reach you. My heart is broken and I will miss you forever. I love you Susan. May you rest in peace sweet angel. Prayers for Dylan. I know he will miss you terribly. You were a great Mom. Love always, Cindy Levine.

I was very sorry to hear this tragic news about Susan.. I will always remember Susan’s love for shopping and fashion, and used to get up very early to apply her make up and get dressed.. Always courteous and eclectic! You will be missed, and I am very sorry for Dylan, puppy and family.. Rest In Peace Susan❤️

Ms. Palmieri was the definition of an icon. She was a beloved teacher and made a positive impact on countless students at Petrides.
As I reflect on my experience in her film and theatre courses, we studied films like “The Godfather,” “Scarface,” and “Goodfelas.” It gave me a wonderful appreciation for these films and the art. Looking back, it reminds me of how cool she was. Who wouldn’t want to show up to school if our day started watching The Godfather?
RIP Ms. Palmieri and condolences to your family, friends, and son.
