Heidi and Vincent: We are so sorry for your loss. I have so many memories of your mom. Starting from when she worked at her sister's candy shop, your dad brought me there and I remember her with her white smock, gorgeous skin and great smile. I remember their wedding. I recall when you guys moved to Staten Island so long ago. She juggled her work with being your mom. She worked very hard. We would visit you on Deppe Place, then on Jefferson and finally on Douglas Court. I remember Heidi's Milk and Things and when you opened the Met Food on 20th Ave. Aunt Astrid was always there. She always came to visit my dad especially when if was sick. She was a great part of my life and I will never forget her. She loved my girls and I really appreciated that.
