Sunday Fagbuyi lit a candle

Thank you all for being here today as we gather
to honor and celebrate the life of my beloved
wife, Paulina Oluwafunmilola Fagbuyi. I am
Sunday Fagbuyi, and it is both a privilege and a
deeply emotional task to stand before you and
share my thoughts about the incredible woman
my wife was. Paulina was not just my partner in
life; she was my best friend, my confidant, and
my greatest support. From the moment we met,
I knew she was someone special. Our love ,was
love at first sight. She was God fearing
,beautiful, intelligent, bold, confident, optimistic,
ambitious and expert in cooking; her food was
something special. Her kindness, strength, and
unwavering love made every day brighter and
every challenge more bearable.
Paulina enjoy driving, always willing and
capable of driving whenever we are going on
road trip. She enjoyed cooking, always
volunteering to cook for special occasion and
her passion for God was extraordinary. Before
and during her illness, she was deeply involved
in church activities and served in various
departments; she was a soldier of Christ. Her
last spoken words on earth at Robert wood
Johnson University Hospital was
Amen,Amen,Amen …..and she slept in the lord .
Her zest for life and her ability to find joy in the
little things made every moment we spent
together truly magical. She had an uncanny
ability to make even the simplest activities feel
extraordinary.
My dear wife Paulina was not only a wonderful
wife and mother but she was a person of
immense character and integrity. She faced
every situation with resilience and determination,
never losing sight of what was important. She
taught me the value of perseverance, the
importance of standing up for what you believe
in, and the power of a positive outlook. What I
will always cherish about my wife is her
unwavering kindness and generosity. She had a
heart of gold and was always willing to lend a
helping hand to those in need. Whether it was
offering support to a friend, helping a neighbor,
or volunteering in the community, her
selflessness touched many lives and left a
lasting impact. My wife was also a person of
great wisdom and insight. She was always there
to offer advice, to listen, and to provide a
different perspective. Her counsel was
invaluable to me, and I knew that I could always
count on her for guidance and support. As I
stand here today, I am filled with gratitude for the
time we had together. Although I wish we could
have had more time, I am comforted by the
countless memories we created and the lessons
she taught me. Her legacy lives on in the values
she instilled in me, in the love she showed to our
daughter Ayomide, her mother ,brothers, Aunts,
Uncles, Nieces, Cousins, Nephew, our family
and ACE our Dog and in the positive impact she
had on everyone who knew her. Paulina, thank
you for being my rock, my mentor, and my best
friend. Thank you for the love, the laughter, and
the countless memories. Alas, my love could not
save you. We fought long and hard though But
the creator thought your work here was done
and decided to call you to Himself, to swell the
number of the Saints triumphant.
I will carry your memory in my heart forever and
strive to honor you in all that I do. In closing, I
would like to share a quote that reminds me of
my wife: “Love doesn’t count the years; it counts
the memories.
” Paulina, of all the special gifts in
life however great or small to have you as my
wife was the greatest gift of all, your love and
your legacy will live on in all of us. Thank you for
everything. Thank you, everyone, for being here
today to honor my wife.
