Members of the NJ Shore BMW Riders motorcycle club referred to Richard as Richie. He was a member for 2+ years and rode with many of us since he was an avid rider. Richie loved long distance tours. This year he rode to MOA getaway rally at Fontana Village (Smoky Mts. NC-TN.), to Barbers MC museum in Birmingham AL, BMW MOA National Rally near Nashville, MOA getaway rally in the Poconos, Finger Lakes BMW Rally in Watkins Glenn NY, NJ Shore Riders Octoberfest in Catskills, Morton’s Spring Fling Rally near Natural Bridge Va. Richie enjoyed riding alone as much as with one or two others. Roger T and Richie liked riding together probably because they had similar habits-- up at 6am, enjoy gourmet hotel breakfast, kickstands up by 7;30; ride as long as gas tank lasts (200 +miles), and then continue the day's ride until 4-5pm. Richie also loved to volunteer. He worked at rallies in TN, Poconos, and Watkins Glen.. Every month he made the long ride to Farmingdale NJ for our club meeting . We will all miss him. Roger T

For 26 years Richie was my neighbor and my Friend. He was there for us when we needed him. He was always there for anything. The world is a darker place without Richie. It is not everyday that you find a friend like him so when you lose one it is painful and a sad day for the whole world even though they did not know him. People like Richie (and Debbie) make this world a place you want to live in. We will miss him immensely, and for as long as i can throw a leg over a bike I will think of him. Every time I drive past my old block i will miss him. Go with God my friend and be with Debbie, Bear, Spanky and Tucker. I know you will be riding heavens highways and sky ways.. Richie you were my closest friend and the thought of you not being in Leona and My lives is unimaginable. All we can do is focus on the great times we shared from high school up to your passing. Those are many, and hopefully we can someday soon, when the shock and pain subsides, smile when your name is mentioned. You will not be forgotten, this I promise. Rest in Peace my friend.
